Re: Upgrading PDS controller
Alltrax XCT48400PDS (or larger) user programmable controller, MZJ400 48V Solenoid (works at 36V, 42V and 48V) and complete set (10) of 4Ga (or thicker) high current cables.
With 22" tall tires and a rear seat, the stock PDS motor will eventually fail, so replace it with an Admiral MOT-B2, either before or after the fact. Also, upgrade to 42V or 48V the next time you replace battery pack. |

Re: Upgrading PDS controller
A new PDS motor is a real candidate for 42v operation especailly with the Alltrax XCT48400 controller, Fan kit, 2g cable set, and free battery meter.
Use a DPI 42v charger with the D plug to fit your current receptacle. The XCT400 control has a peak limit of 460 amps 110 amps or 33% above the 350a Curtis control. Plus it unleashes the rpms. RPMS that will be increased by 42v as well |

Re: Upgrading PDS controller
Replace the six 6V batteries in a 36V pack with six 8V batteries for 48V, that way they fit under the seat, or you can go with eight 6V batteries, but finding room for all of them can be an issue.
Also, a stock PDS motor doesn't last very long at 48V unless you tone down the controller to something akin to the max watts with a 42V system. |

Re: Upgrading PDS controller
Thanks for the info, I just renewed the battery cables with 4g.Would it be ok to go with 2g cables to the motor only with the XCT400
