king pin torque
I was working on a club car DS front end this morning. new king pins, bushings, ect. I have done several of these in the past, But this morning the 3/4 nut on the king pin was /is tight like I have never seen before. I had a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar with a 18 inch pipe and my little 210lb butt on it and only bent the bottom bolt at the spring.
Any ideas would be helpful. needless to say all the bushing were replaced the guy is happy(as his bushings were gone) but I would still like to replace the king pins. |

Re: king pin torque
It may be rust welded on. Have had one do that and it took the threads off when the nut finally spun loose. I was replacing the pin anyway, so it didn’t really matter, but I was only about 30 seconds away from just cutting the top off with the blue wrench.
