Default New here ez s4 express lithium

Just picked up an express lithium s4. Seems the best I get is 19 mph. My local guy say it’s already maxed in freedom mode

Be wary of advice from your "local guy".

30 MPH+ is "maxed", not 19 MPH!

Best advice is, don't let just anyone poke around in there. They can turn your S4 into a big paperweight if they experiment with trying to speed it up without knowing exactly what needs to be done, in the correct order.

Yes, that is within a days drive of where I am in TN. I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC now...

My last trip to AZ almost killed me! I was trapped during an ice storm on the continental divide in a vehicle (old model Prius) that was not designed for cold weather operation. I have not been back to AZ since! That was the primary reason that I chose to buy a Chrysler Town & Country Touring for these trips. My trip west last month ended in southwestern Texas before heading back southeast. I spent over $3700 in fuel on that trip, not sure what it would cost to make a round trip to AZ and back in the minivan. Doing programming trips is not like a straight drive to a single destination and back. I must zig-zag back and forth as I migrate north/south/east/west to hit as many destinations as possible while moving through areas. Not all of my stops are listed either, as I also make stops at US bases for updates to Fly-By-Wire systems on military aircraft.

For a stock EZ-GO controller tuning there is only one solution for me and that is Bob.

I installed a Navitas AC conversion kit on my TXT. There have been much accolades here on upgrades to the RXV's with the Navitas controller as well.

They also make a drop-in 600 amp controller for the S4 but I have not found a place where you can actually buy it. If Bob can't make it out to your place I would call Navitas. I think this is the next best option. They have fantastic customer service and I speak from experience.
