1961 3 wheel Taylor Dunn Tee Bird
I think it's the most beautiful cart I have ever seen. Have to sand down the wood and repaint it. Roof is some kind of white cloth. Will get a soft top put on at local upholstery shop. Other than some sanding and painting, wont be doing much.
Besides replacing batteries.... This is the most amazing cart I have ever seen. |

cool !!!
In 1961, Taylor-Dunn introduced the Tee-Bird line, their first golf cart. This was a 36 volt cart. It came in the model 2336G three wheeler |

Thanks, I think so too!
We have started some disassembly to sand and paint. We got the seats out for the most part. The seat back is held in place by 2 posts sliding into holders. One side is loose, but the other side has 2 screws holding it in. To get to it, we will have to remove the right rear wheel, and we don't have a socket any where near that large. May have to get something at harbor freight. That's a big nut holding that wheel on! |

Re: 1961 3 wheel Taylor Dunn Tee Bird
We got the top off and removed the screw in snaps. The ribs holding it up are all hand cut. I included a picture of the motor as well. And the wheel we need to remove as well. Big old nut on it.
We can sand most of it with out removing the seat back, but we wont be able to finnish sanding or paint with it there. We also removed the windows and labeled them so we wouldn't have to spend 6 weeks getting them back in. They are just plastic, and probably could be replaced with better stuff, but each window hole was cut individually, so it would take us forever to cut and trim all 6 pieces. My son says it looks like the beverly hillbillies had a go at a golf cart. I like that. Don't ever expect great photos. So not gong to happen. |

the "BIG OLD NUT "is the hub nut pull the cotter pin and use channel luck pliers .. it's not on tight ... the wheel comes off with the 4 smaller nuts 3/4" i believe ... the hub does not need to be removed for wheel to come off
