Default 99 electris CC

Have a 99 CC with a melted V-Glide. It happened when going on a breakfast outing with campground. The throttle stuck in hi speed and when I pulled it back the plastic arm broke and the top connection melted. Just wondering what caused this to happen. It was about 30 degrees out that morning and it was the last weekend of the season. I am looking for another v-glide and dont want it to happen again.

Kinder, forum pretty quiet on Sun,my opinion on the pot box doing that would have been dirty contacts and a little welding going on,I'm sure the guys that know more will give advice tomorrow.Don't think the weather had anything to do with it new box should fix it.Dave

Thanks Davet they may have been dirty contacts cause that is all we do is cruise around on dirt lanes. When I get the new one I want to make my 4 ga. cables and install them.
