Default Flipping the rear axel tubes.

the spring brackets are welded to the underside of the axle. Can i unbolt them and flip them and bolt them back to the diff? or are they tabbed?

thanks for any insite. If I don't get any I will post pics of what happens when you try it

My engineers have done this to a similar electric cart I will require cutting the tabs off and rewelding them on the top... The flip is a gain of about 3.5 inches. We used to be able to buy just the front half of a jakes 3" spindle lift ... I don't know if this is still available? Anyway, I have pics if you are still interested

I have been pondering the same thing on a club car, It seems to me i am going to flip the tubes and then swap sides due to the flange plate being irregular shape! let me know what you find out I am most intrested!

You certainly can. We just did that a few weeks ago, and with a 2" block it gives you around 6" of lift.

Can't you just rotate the motor from the original position upward until the spring brackets are on top? Of course you will have to disconnect the motor wiring. I'm almost positive thats the way I did my lift. Then I used the 2" blocks as mentioned and hd springs and that gave me 6" of lift.
