Riding in the snow may have killed my cart
I was having fun in about 3" on snow and my cart stopped running. The lights still work and the cart was fully charged. The reverse alarm does not work and no clicking or movement forward or reverse. Any help would be appreciated I am new the cart world but willing to learn.
I did feel the cart jerk when it stopped. The one fuse that I did find a 20 amp inline was not blown. When I pulled it the lights did go out so I guessed that it was only for the lights and not to the engine. Is there any troubleshooting that I should start with to eliminate the easy stuff first? Thanks for any help that is out there. Jeff |

BallCo, Welcome to BGW! It's gonna help a lot if you tell us what year and model your cart is!

Park it in a dry warm place and try a hair dryer on the F/R switch and the controller.

Pack the cart in rice, it works for a cell phone.

Re: Riding in the snow may have killed my cart
Thanks for the replies! I got side tracked with Santa duties. The Serial number on the cart is AC0139-075182. So guess it is a 2001 electric cart. It has been parked in the garage for 2 days still no luck but I have not tried the hair drier yet.
Thanks again. Jeff |

Re: Riding in the snow may have killed my cart
Running through snow puts an additional load on your carts motor,
It's just a guess, but you may have lost a battery connection, (lights work, but nothing else does) Start with the basics... Clean and check all of your battery cables, and connections! Note: make sure your Tow/Run switch is in "Tow" before attempting any battery/cable maintenance! |

Could moisture have got to his micros and caused one or more to arc?

Thanks everyone for the help. Cable was fried. Thankfully it was a nice easy fix.
