Default Club Car 93-to lift or not to lift

Hi everyone

I'm new to golf carts and have learned alot by reading the forum.
I was just given a 93 club car thats in good shape. I just purchased new batteries and am now trying to decide whether or not to lift it a few inches. I mainly will use this for hunting and would just like it to be able to handle dry atv ruts and such.
My dilemna: I went to a Cart store the other day and spoke with someone working there about wanting to put a lift on my 36v. He said he wouldnt reccomend it b/c it doesn't have enough power. Well, from what I've read on this website, he wasn't entirely correct... What do ya'll think about this? Should I just get some 20 inch tires and put them on the 8 inch stock rims or do ya'll think the club car can handle a 6 inch lift with 22 inch tires? Also, money is an issue so, since i've already spent $550 on batteries, I can only spend $450 on the remaining upgrades. I figure a $300 lift and some used tires might fit my budget.

One more question...and this might be a stupid one...is my golf cart only 1 wheel drive?

thanks

Sure would look nice with a lift, and some tires and rims, but $450 might get you some tires and a lift may be a little more money, check out our site sponsors they can help you---

If the cart is 36V, and you are not going to upgrade to 48V, then I would not recommend spending the money to lift it.

My cart is 36V, converted from V/Glide and Resistor system to Alltrax Controller and new wiring. It still isn't powerful enough to provide the torque necessary to drive larger tires that are used with a lift kit. I will upgrade to 48V the next time that the cart needs batteries.

I would suggest that you just purchase some good stock all-terrain tires, and enjoy the cart as it is for now.
