Battery technology is really amazing, we fly mainly electric R/C helicopters using Lithium Polymer batteries. They are 4.2 volts per cell and we run anywhere between 6 cells to 12 cells. On a 6S (Cell) heli, you can easily pull 140 amps on a hard maneuver....with a battery pack you can hold in your hand!

THat is some very different battery technology. Careful recarging those in your house or car. They have been known to burst into flames for no apparent(?) reason while recharging. Every RC guy I know recharges them in a metal trash can

Oh yea, we know all that. My son has been sponsored by 2 different battery companies.

Ok I have seen some threads of his and he uses LFP batteries made by A123 Systems. You think your cart batteries are expensive.
