Re: 36 to 48 volt kit??????
Thanks for the advice, everyone. Glad I posted that. I will just go ahead and switch the bat's to 8v when I'm done with the upgrade. Don't want any damage to all my new stuff.

Re: 36 to 48 volt kit??????
Cart is stripped down to the frame from floor board back. Amazing how fast you can tear these down even by yourself. Started yesterday afternoon and had it all taken apart in about 3 hrs. I'm working on cleaning up the frame, adding additional brackets so I can mount all the new stuff, then it will be time to spray the frame with some bed liner stuff. Talking with impalass88, he used that because it says it is acid resistant. Sounds like a really great idea instead of just paint.
I'm really excited on getting this done, but it will take some time as I'm really busy at work and will be traveling much over the next month to ASIA. China, Korea, Taiwan, then Singapore in the next two weeks.. Got to love trying to make the house payment.. |

Re: 36 to 48 volt kit??????
One caution spraying that chit around the CC battery trays..... I worked on a cart that had that on it and it needed battery tray repairs ... We could not weld the repairs with all that stuff running and running back into the work area I'm against it just for that. Aluminum frame carts eventually all need repairs ..... you can't do it with that stuff on them.... just an observation......

Re: 36 to 48 volt kit??????
NOTHING if you want to be able to TIG weld cracks in the future ..... Ask around, that was a first for me seeing it and now you talking about doing it ..... I wouldn't Just enjoy the light frame and fix it as and when needed. Yes that's right they all suffer from stress cracks eventually, that is what aluminum does when it flexes repeatedly.... it is just the nature of the material.
