Default 2000 DS Motor

Can someone possibly tell me what the stock motor is on a CC 48v A0017, also is there somewhere i can learn about the peak amps and get an idea as to what controller is needed for what motor or does it not work like that?

For example does the motor amperage relate or dictate the controller amperage

Yes in the fact that any given motor can use only a set amount of amps(bigger motor more amps)
It is the controllers job to make sure the motor gets all it needs (bigger controller).

Look at the D377 it is maxed out at 400amp , anything more is a detriment.

Here is a GE motor chart which may help.

OK so mine is a 3.1hp motor with a 300 amp controller, would i be correct in saying with resistance from line and batteries it would peak at somewhere around what 8hp?

So if i had say a 6hp motor with the same controller it would be around 16hp peak?

Where does the torque and top end come into the the equation

I'm not sure a 300 amp would work on a D380/381 it may starv the motor and burn it up
call http://www.empinc.biz/ a site sponsor ,
they build a switchable Torque/Speed motor.
