I have not tried to hop up any sepex carts. (BH & I built a 48v PDS cart).. but, my experience with alltrax programmable controllers is 100% positive. There are at least 3 throttle bands to choose from. Each one is very different from the other. Certainly something there for everyone. I have run some Logisystem 450 amp series units and they were also very satisfactory. They are not user programmable but side by side with Identical CCs it was only slightly slower off the line than a 650 alltrax at nearly 1/2 the cost. Hope this helps?

That's encouraging Scotty. I've been sort of using Scubabud's cart as my inspiration for my DS, and was planning to eventually do the PQ motor on mine.

Scubabud, I'll be watching what you choose so keep me posted on how it does for you.

Now that is some great news... thanks Scotty

I've been looking at the AlltraxDCS400IQ as the was to go if given positive results and it seems I have them now. I think that the 400 will do what I want/need since I'm not taking this cart any further than that. It's a family cart for myself, wife and the dogs mostly. I just want that extra kick when I'm on it by myself and getting that "want to drag look" from another camper cart driver when the road is clear!

Will do

My build is a basic/mild build, just to get the most for the least out of my cart. For over a year I just had the $300 investment in the PQ motor and now I just added $100 for the wires from ECCC and will get the DCX400IQ from one of the vendors here when I shop the pricing on the DCX400IQ, (yes I'll be using one of the vendors here when I purchase it.)

There are also many other motor and controller combinations out there from other manufacturers/vendors as well as PQ as you've found that are faster with more torque than my setup will ever be so good luck with which ever way you choose to go.
