There is... Just bypass the built in relay (most models)

Just realize that it'll never turn off.

I post about jumping the relay and I catch hell for it, now everyone is saying jump the relay and no one is getting on them.....Do you see what I started?

Now it seems to be OK to do that

Please, if you suggest to "bypass" the relay...explain the procedure, so they can do it and no one gets hurt. Sometimes knowlegdable golf car mechanics think members know how to use a volt meter and they don't. Also they could get a serious "jolt"! Just want members to be safe and get there problem solved. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Thanks for posting.

Well anyone with any sense at all would ask how to do it if they didn't know how... And did you notice how I said "most models"??? Club Car had about 10 different 36Volt chargers over the time span those vehicles were built... and no.. not all of them have relays... Some have only a timer... so yeah... I was expecting another question before he caught the neighborhood on fire.

Here is an idea..... Maybe we should stickie a charger relay jump for CC and For An Ezgo and a Yamaha charger in the proper sections? It would have a pic and agreed upon safe procedure... This subject comes up often enough. It just might be a great way to send a newb to a safe bit of comprehensive info?

That's a great idea... If only Club Car didn't have so many different models.... They've got the Accu-Power with an ammeter, an Accu-Power with indicator lights, and lord only knows how many Lester Lestronic and Lestronic II chargers they made... Great idea though scottyb... it's just a lot of work.

Well, I borrowed a charger from a friend and it does the same thing. Runs for about an hour then shut off before the cart was fully charged. Anyone have any other ideas what this problem could be?
