I haven't GPS it but I doubt over 15mph.

Scubabud.... the older Regen motors and IQ motors are actually very compatible with one another. We've swapped them both ways on cars and both systems work great with the motor from the other system. I would imagine his car would perform similar to yours with the Purple Motor like you've got. The controller amperage is the exact same I believe. His system is not dependent on the speed sensor at all. He doesn't even need a magnet. Just unhook it and the regen is gone completely.

One more time in english please.

So, are you saying I can keep my controller and just change it to the same motor he is running and I'll be doing wheelies?

Wow... he is lucky then. I'd say with 23" tires his top speed would be in the mid 20's for the most part. My best was just that... my best at 28.1. Most of the time I'm at the 25-26 mph mark!

All OC would need to do then would be to get a Purple motor from PlumQuick, bolt it on and go $225 plus core and shipping charges... The torque would be about the same though and maybe a bit less since your tires are even larger then mine. But with the regen off you'll love it. Unplug it like TahoeDawg says and see what you think about not having regen.

By the way... nice cart OC No wheelies... not with 23" tires... just a faster cart top speed.

well yeah we say he's lucky, but I'd still recommend talking to Robby at Plum Quick about it first because they actually do offer a motor for his system. It's the green one. I'd love to know what's different about that one and the IQ one. Since stock motors are 100% compatible with each other... I don't know why they need two different ones at PQ.

What about a controller upgrade? Is there anything available for this cart? When I first built it 5 years ago, there was nothing for Regen carts. I'd like to work on both torque and speed. I usually have 4 people and an ice chest where ever we go.

Anyone have a like to plum quick? I can call them in the am.

Thanks guys!!

OK... if that's the case then yes... better safe then sorry... Robby knows his stuff so maybe he'll post the differences here if he sees this thread. Or if OC calls him maybe he can post back with Robby's recommendation for his cart as well.
