Default 2005 Precedent headlight was intermittent, now failed...

I have a 2005 Precedent that had an intermittent headlight issue that I reported to the dealer when I brought it back due to an mcor failure.

He could not replicate the headlight problem and did not fix it when he replaced the mcor. At first, you could twiddle with the light pull on knob and get it to work, then it went to randomly failing and then coming on. Now, it will not come on at all.

The turn signals and brake lights still work, although the tail lights no longer function as running lights as I beleive they should when the headlight is on (at least when the switch is in the on position) and the brakes not applied. The cart is stored in a garage in a humid GA coastal environment.

Based on the progression of the failure, it makes me think it may be a mechanical switch / moisture / corrosion issue where I need to pull the switch and WD40 it or clean the contacts. However, it has never been driven in the rain and is always garaged.

Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

TIA guys......

Sounds like a bad light switch. Club Car went through a bad batch of them before finally realizing it. Sounds like you've got one of them. A good indication is that it will spin all the way around... Knob and everything.. Replace the switch.. I bet that'll fix it.
