Default New to electric...

I have been in the golf cart world a bit now but never been around electric much. I use my cart only in a campground with paved roads. I have a lifted gas and have done a few but am really considering electric. Other campers up there tell me that since electrics drain to fast. I mean we only have one hill which is pretty big. I can understand if ya got 5 people on a cart running up and down the hill but I gotta believe you can run around all day maybe even a weekend on a charge am I right? So next is what do I look for? How old is getting old on batteries? What year is best go with? Thanks Guys!
