You will have to go to a dealer who can reprogram the controller.

Not real sure. I have never had one reprogrammed. Most people love it, I have never heard any complaints other than they want to go faster or want more power. At that point you have to go after market. Not sure of the cost.

I've got a 2005 and it does 26mph (GPS'd) when it was checked 3 yrs ago. I have 20.5x8-10 trailer tires on it. They came with 18.5x8-8 and I pass every cart down here on the paths (all 90+ miles). Where I live it is a golf cart community and we have golf cart paths. That 2" got me 6mph.

Wow 2" gaining 6 mph is a lot. Not doubting you. but have never heard that much of an mph gain with just a 2" tire diameter increase.

I'm 25mph with my Ge D380 motor on stock tire height. I plan on an 8" lift to support somewhere in the 23" -25" tire size.....If I got 6 mph from a 5-7" tire dimaeter increase Id be overwhelmed with those results.

The speed upgrade increases the top speed from about 17.5 to about 19. Not a huge gain, and its all on the top speed.

I am NOT TRYING TO START A PISSING MATCH in any way shape or form.I can only guess that the tires did that. I am in NO WAY as knowledgable as most on here. I'm under the understanding that it did 19.? from the factory. My dad and his friend were the ones that got the 26mph number. I have no reason to doubt him but I do know that most of the "fast" golf carts here in town (9400 of them) stop around 19.?mph. The speed limit on them here is 20mph on the paths and I fly past ALL the new EZ Go's, Club Car Precedents and Yamahas and having a fast cart here is a bragging rights thing. So the only thing I can attribute the 26mph to is the tires. I thought that was weird also but that is all that's been done.
