Default V-twin + UMAX secondary spring?

Hey does anyone have a V-twin in their Yamaha and using a umax spring in the secondary clutch? What kind of preload you are using? Preload numbers? Thanks

Just my 2 cents worth, I would start with the stock spring set at "B-4". The torque from your V-Twin is so much more then stock. If you wanted more torque, Umax spring set at B-3 or B-4.

I agree. The lower the spring pressure on the secondary, the happier you will be.

Ok. New plan. Right now I have the stock G1 spring in it with a .400 shim to put more compression on it. That's how it was with my stock G1 set up and clone set up. I'm going to remove the shim and use the stock G1 spring by itself.

Then adjust the primary to work how you want it to.

The old spring could be worn out Gary. Try it and see.

With the big block engines, you want to use a stock spring in the driven clutch. I set mine at B2, feels great.
