Default Front Shocks on G16

Got a 6" Jakes A-arm lift for a few years now and from trail riding to snow plowing my front suspension is sagging /\. Looks to be worn shocks. I installed collars when the lift kit was installed on the shock springs to beef them up and help but since then they are just too worn and the ride and steering is not as good.

I read through many post regarding ATV/UTV shocks and aftermarket so I kinda have an idea but still unsure. I've seen a few post where some have taken the rear G16 shocks HD and used them on the front suspension which greatly seemed to help with the Jakes' lift.

Any thoughts on this or anyone else try the swap? I'm considering going this route more so than trying to find ATV/UTV shocks to work.

I believe the rear shocks on the G16 is 14" eye to eye? The front is about 12-3/4" eye to eye so I should gain about 2" of lift. The Jakes also has adjustment shock mounts if the the shocks throw it out of camber I believe.

Putting longer shocks in without modifying the a arms will cause a camber issue. That's how you adjust the camber by moving the shocks up or down.

I am thinking of the rear stock shocks. I believe they are 13" or 14" while the fronts are 12-3/8"/. The jakes "A-arms have adjustments on them and should be able to work.

Yes the jakes shocks r junk! I put my raptor front springs on the jakes shocks and its a lot better. Also removed the rear bar and put my rzr front shocks on the back without the bar. Way safer, stronger, and more travel. Those bars for the rear are stupid cause it causes your shocks to bind bad destroying bushings. I have a rear set of shocks thatll work for sale if interested PM me.

I was thinking of putting the stock rear shocks on the font to even out the tire from /\. I seen a post on here where another member did this and said it was a great fix. Worst case is that I have an extra set of real shocks.

panteramatt what are the shocks, stock? PM with the info please.
