Factory look headlights
Finally sold off the 1986 Marathon gasser (Bertha as the kids called her).
Just picked up a 2009 gas DS in off the golf course condition. Have been looking at the headlight kits on ebay and have noticed some complaints that the LED units are too bright. Does anyone have experience with the halogen or LEDs that can lend their opinion. Cart will mainly be a motocross pit vehicle and two trips a year to Fort Wilderness at Disney, so I don't want to be annoying to oncoming traffic. |

Re: Factory look headlights
I used a Chris products light kit as I use the road often at night. Headlights are regular bulbs, Enough to see where you are goin, and won't blind anyone. I use them as "low beams" and have a light bar on with them as "high beams" or "instant daytime"

Too bright? Who has ever had that problem?

Re: Factory look headlights
I've not seen a problem with the LED's, but the ones I've installed are "adjustable" units. That way they can be aimed individually so you don't have to worry about blinding any oncoming traffic. Good bright light and far less power draw. Win / win to my mind.

Re: Factory look headlights
Thanks everyone, I hadn't noticed the adjustability. I had a pair of 2 inch LED floods on the Marathon and I did get a few complaints.
Just like the finished look of the OEM style headlights. |

Re: Factory look headlights
My cart came with one [cyclops lol] "cube" led mounted above the bumper as light. Even though it didn't shine that far, cars would flash their highs at me regularly. Now, there is no problem with the Edison's as low beam.

Re: Factory look headlights
meimk , Those look real nice. I really don't want the tail lights cause I like the look of the 3/4 inch LED round dots as tail lights.
Is the cutting part pretty pain free? Do they supply a template for the headlight holes? Thanks |

Re: Factory look headlights
Yeah they supply a template for you to cut with. I used a Dremel with a cutting wheel to cut mine.
