Default Jakes Shifter install

okay got my jakes shifter for my ds carryall 1. First quality on the linkage BUT second rate on the sheet metal parts of the cover and connection points for that aluminum plate. For those unfamiliar with the jakes shifter there is a black sheet metal box and a machined aluminum top plate meant to enclose and dress out this product. They are connected to each other via machine screws that thread into these little slide on clips like you see on a cheap speaker. Again the linkage is stellar but the dress parts and their points of connection not so much they could have threaded these points OR welded nuts for the screws I don't know but the linkage is the selling point for me its great BUT the cosmetics covers not so much. I will figure a fix out because I don't like it as it is

Love that shifter! Considered one for my buggy, but does it hamper ingress/egress from the passenger side? Sometimes, well quite often, it is easier for me to mount/dismount from the other side depending on how it is parked. I used a drum switch for F/R as it is easy to see visually and easy to feel with winter gloves. Does that shifter have a switch for backup lights?

doesn't seem to get in the way when getting in or out of the cart does not have a reverse light switch

yes it sticks up... so a passenger side entry is a pain

it uses the stock f/r switch

NOTE :it does not work on Precedent golf cars

the HULK shiftier ball adds 3 mph
