Re: no start - fuel issue
I apologize that I apparently misunderstood earlier. Just to be certain: Have you checked the pick up tube in the tank? Since they just slip fit into the petcock I've seen quite a few just fall out into the tank. I've also seen plenty of times something in the tank (old gas cap gasket, leaf debris, etc) gets sucked up into the tube and blocks it off.

Re: no start - fuel issue
Hey Lockman1, you told the guy to use a jar or whatever to test the pump in your first post. I assumed he did that after his post about this. Maybe he did not. New ball game if he did not. LOL.

Re: no start - fuel issue
No worries MC...
I think we should just let FB11 do some troubleshooting, and follow up... Yes/No? |

Re: no start - fuel issue
That's what I was going to get to next meink. 90% of the time the problem lies in the pickup tube or other fuel lines. Usually the pickup tube has issues. Trash it repeatedly sucks up, collapses, has holes or otherwise.

Re: no start - fuel issue
Agreed. On the hundreds of carts I've worked on over the last 4 years I've come across 2 actually bad fuel pumps. One of those was an aftermarket electric pump someone else had put on previously. Even it still pumped fuel but leaked from a seam.

Re: no start - fuel issue
I have had people insist that I replace the fuel pump so many times that I have a shelf full of functioning(used) fuel pumps.

Re: no start - fuel issue
I deleted the first pic of the fuel pumps, because WE are getting TOO far ahead of ourselves!
No need to insinuate, or replace stuff if it's not needed! Let FB11 do his stuff WITHOUT throwing more info at him than needed! Got it? |

Re: no start - fuel issue
OK. Sorry. Did not know what happened. Won't do that again. What did I do?
Got it. I think. Sorry, my point was to NOT replace things that do not need replacing. |
