Default 2004 Club Car Precedent shuts off when hot

Is there some sort of thermal shutoff switch on the Precedent? If so, where is it and how do I disconnect it?

No... There's not really thermal shutoff!

There are however, 3 parts that shut off the spark when they get hot and begin to fail... a bad spark plug, the rev limiter, and the coil.
The easiest is to replace the spark plug. The rev limiter is the 2nd easiest to troubleshoot, it's on the lower front of the engine,
and all you have to do is remove the passenger side mounting bolt, remove the eyelet w/ground wire from the bolt,
tape up the eyelet, and let it just hang... and reinstall the mounting bolt!

IF... it still shuts down when the engine gets warm, the coil would be your next suspect,
and that isn't always an easy replacement it as some may say!

Thank you for the detailed reply. This should be an easy map to follow. I'll start tracing down the culprit this weekend.
