Don't think it was the inlet needle as it wasn't hooked to the carb when it finally pushed the air and then fuel. Who knows, just didn't figure on an air lock.

My cart sits at my camp over the winter, so when I go to start it each year I have to get the air out of the gas lines. I open the gas cap press my lips around the gas tank and blow air into the gas tank, pressuring the gas tank, forcing gas thru the pump, works for me but not my lips. Lol

Hmmmm, sounds like something I might want to look into. Just have to figure out a better way of pressurizing the fuel tank....hahahaha

My cart (87 marathon with hei) sits all spring, summer, and fall, and only gets started in winter when there is enough snow to plow and it never gives me trouble starting (but when it is 5 degrees or so it does take some cranking to start! But that is only due to lack of cold start fuel enrichment, efi will fix that!)
If you are having to pressurize your tank to start after only 3 or 4 months of sitting I would be looking for a problem.
