Default '86 CC Rear End Governor

Hello,

First, can someone tell me (or show me) where the governor rod connects to (from the rear end arm)

Secondly, is someone explain to me exactly how that rear end governor affects the engine? Or does the engine affect the rear end?

Is it crucial to have it hooked up?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

It connects to the carb throttle bracket on top of the carb, I'll post a photo later.

It's not crucial to have it hooked up, as long as you have a good ear and don't push your motor too hard. Been driving mine with no governor hooked up for several years now, but I'm the only one who drives my cart; and if someone else does drive it, I'm almost always with them. If you let lots of other people drive your cart you'll for sure want to get it hooked up.
