drill both rods and the extensions and install roll pins

if the gear is pinned to the shaft you can unpin it, get a longer rod and drill and repin it.

a few more shots.

I'm trying to think of the best epoxy. I had good results previously with the dark grey jb weld when I attached some old jaws/teeth to a bench vise I was repurposing.

I tested (1st time use)some of the clear weld yesterday and was able to easily wiggle that right off.Even though that was rated at higher strength.

Planned on putting some stop nuts on but the 1" bolts and washers prevent it from reaching the actual nylon insert. So I will probably just thread lock a plain old Nut. ...and slap whatever epoxy I use over the nut too...then for sure it aint vibrating off.

Anyone recommend a different epoxy/adhesive from previous experience?

Thanks Everyone!

Pretty much done.

Except I'm gonna put a sleeve/column over the shaft. Probably just pvc painted black

just some more pictures

I ended up goin with Loctite Metal/Comcrete Epoxy. Seemed to have better strength reviews than the JB. Even though the PSI rating was actually lower than the JB.

It also held better on the test piece I made.

What’s a good slick lubricant for pvc?

I made a sleeve/shaft..... basically a piece of pvc pipe around a pvc shower drain fitting on both ends. I sanded a little off the inner of the pipe and the outer of the drain ends so it spins freely but still not too loose.

I was going to spray silicone for less friction but thought there might be something better for pvc?

Thoughts???

Tell me about it haha

I’m 6’7”

I felt like I was squished in at the go kart track or something.

I may actually slide the seat back a few inches too.

Wish I would’ve done this years ago
