Cool does engine rotation matter cw or ccw

I am changing the motor in a gas club car. the rotation is different than the original one. does it matter whch way the transmission turns?

It does matter, kinda.
When the transmission turns opposite your gear selection will be opposite, so Forward will be Reverse and Reverse will be Forward. Different ratios in the trans for Fwd and Rev means Rev will be faster, but Fwd will give you more torque.

With an '02, forward and reverse will be reversed. I am not familiar with the ratios on Carry All's though. With a regular Unitized rear end, forward is ~ 12:1 and reverse is ~ 17:1. So when you switch that, your new forward will be slow but could climb a tree.

The ratios on your Carry All may be the same or different.

any recommendations for replacement of motor.. I see a lot of Duromax,Lifaan,chamion name motors... are these acceptable ?? their about 16-18 hp

Lifan tends to be higher quality than many other clones. But if you can get something else for a good price that may be a decent option as well.
