as far as i know, its all a yamaha, it has some custom work to it so i question if it was factory or not, its all diamond plate for one, the trailing arm and frame are all round tubing. however in the rear there is the coil overs and then some additonal coil springs which are welded there with some flat steel.

i noticed tonight that the premix was not comming out of the premix pump while running. when i took the carb off, there was blue premix all over the intake. but since then i have not seen the premix. has anyone ever blocked off the premix separator and just mixed it into the gas tank instead? im assuming its a g1, although the pictures i have compared, my cart has a rod running along the passenger side to control the throttle valve in the exaust port. what mix ratio would you guys recomend? i run all my 2 smokers 50:1 but this carb has little to no adjustment as a dirtbike does.

i got er running pretty good now. i put the pipe in my fire pit along with like 8 cut up 2x4s. got it super hot, the metal was red in some spots nearest the bottom. let the fire die out and took a rubber mallet to the pipe and extra to the end nearest the power valve. slapped er on and bang it ran half way. now i have the choke zip tied at half way open. any idea what to do? i also mixed my gas 50:1 in fear of my oil injector not working. i also checked my piston, rings are good, sleeve is good, alot of carbon build up on the top but it should burn off if i run the motor hard right? i was doing about 28 mph today and the second worst thing happened to me, my steering literally broke off. time to brain storm on that but help with the tuning of the carb would be appreciated if anyone has any help. thankyou!

The carb is mostly seal the airbox up good and get the carb clean and it will run fine unless it is worn out or something. The shaft can wear and leak air around it. If not that something else is wrong like bad crank seals, fuel supply, etc.

the carb is clean, although the choke is still half on, will run about 28 miles pegged, but it will start bogging down if its pegged for a while, and ive noticed its back firing three separate times after full throttle.... is it too rich? or too lean?

Its too lean if you need to use the choke, or its leaking air someplace. Crank seals will leak air in if bad, intake can leak, or you have a fuel restriction like dirty main jet, or of course you changed the airbox/exhaust and it just needs jetted more fuel to compensate for more air. Be careful running a 2 stroke lean it can burn the piston if run hard.

i mixed the fuel 50:1 ontop. i did a compreshion test and it was around 150 psi. i did it ten times to check. it has the stock airfilter on it.

so i found out that there indeed was some slack in the throttle cable at the pedal. i shimmed it for now. but im getting alot of slop in the governor ( not clamped down) and when the golf cart pedal is floored, the carb is still not opening enough. has anyone sucessfully by passed the governor all together? and still able to get the carb to open up all the way? the cart does maybe 15-20 right now. i am mixing gas 50:1. could it be too rich? it seems like the cart has a slight bog at the top end. plug is a little black and oily but these carbs dont have that many adjustments so what are my options? more oil or less in the mixture? also got a new paint job;)
