Default Jakes lift 6" rear tires rub in the rear ?

I just installed my jakes lift on a 1989 yamaha g1 this weekend and works great until i put rider in or someone on back the 22 x 9 x 10 tires rub in rear every bump is there a fix it ?

are the rear springs the stock ones from 1989? If so, they might be a bit worn out.

How much air pressure are you running in your rear tires? You could try to run them at a lower psi. I had to on mine and it helped. Also with your tires being only 9 inches wide they may be standing a little bit taller than most 22 inch tires.

I am running 20 psi in the rear tires and yes the shocks are stock they dont seem wore but i only have about 1 inch clearance with no rider on the back !

I think I am running 7 psi in mine. 20 seems like a lot. This could be your problem.

well i think that helped i checked all 4 tires only 1 had 20 lbs the rest had 5 or 6 lbs so i adjusted now to find some riders !
