G2 lunges back for an instant before going forward
I've got a couple issues with my G2...just changed the wire harness and it ran fine for a couple of weeks but I did notice when I'd put in in forward and hit the gas it seemed to want to go backward for an instant but then it would go ahead fine after that. any ideas what could be causing that?? my other issue is I think a short but I'll track that down. any help on the reverse thing would be greatly appreciated.

Re: G2 lunges back for an instant before going forward
There isn't anything mechanical that would cause this. Maybe a worn belt? How's the condition of the sheaves? Look on the faces of the sheaves for "dishing". The faces need to be true and smooth. Also, a worn primary clutch will cause engagement problems. Might want to remove and disassemble the primary clutch.
