G2 blows smoke like a 2 stroke

Ok well got the motor out. And the head off. But still need to pull clutch and replace the rings

Ok i got the motor pulled out and the head off. I do need to pull clutch still unfortunately my buddy now has to search for his puller and may delay the rebuild a little. I have to get a new piston and rings and gaskets so I'll call around some local spots and get a estimate, maybe they will pull a clutch for me or Loan me the tools.

Anyone know all the gaskets and piston size a rings I'll need? I looked online and I see some rebuild kits but there expensive. Do I need the clutch fan bearings and the other bearings? I assume once I get the clutch off I'll be able to tell more. Any resources for cheap online sites for rebuild kit? Thanks

check out the site sponsors, I got most of my parts from cart parts plus, when I did my motor I did not replace the bearings and such, they were still in fine shape, I got Head gasket, valve cover gasket, carb and exhaust gaskets, and case gasket. If your cylinder is not damaged you can more than likely get a standard ring set (I was able to)

Thanks jeff70 I ended up getting everything from a local shop. Picking it up in the morning. Going to havethe guy pull my clutch for me too since my bbuddy couldn't find his. Hopefully get the motor in tomorrow after work.

So i need to pull my clutch off. Walked into the garage and seen this was loose, now i didn't even attempt to remove it. Is it broken? Dosent look like it. Do i still need to pull anything else? Or just get right into the piston swap.

Wow that is crazy. I seriously didn't even touch it. Came out to load her in the car and I noticed it was off. Weird. Not complaining though. Thanks for confirming

After replacing the rings and piston how much oil should I add the cart? Can I use some Mobil oil from autozone?

I would recommend using blend oil till the rings are seated, synthetic after its broken in. Did you "clock" the oil rings and compressin rings? 1 qt, no more no less.
