Default Tire size question

I currently have a Clays cart that has 20-10-10 tires/rims on it. If I add a specific Jakes lift kit, they say I can have 23-10.5-12 tires on it.

My questions:

Does this mean I could also run 23-10-14 with the lift kit? To me as I read it, this tire is narrow by half an inch and the side walls would be smaller as the rim is larger. Do I have that correctly.

Also, is the ride that much rougher with 14 inch rim over 10 or 12?

Thank you.

23x10-12
23" outer diameter
10" width
12" rim diameter
Neither of those numbers arbitrarily changes any of the others.

Low profile tires on golf carts, and some larger vehicles, will prove to be much like platform shoes favored by fashionable people in the seventies. They do nothing as well as their more conventional counterparts except make the owner uncomfortable. And in years to come our grandkids will look at them and ask, "What were they thinking?" Do yourself a favor and stick in the fashion mainstream and away from the fringes.
