Club car 1998 ds clutch not engaging
Hi, my club car ds seems to have a problem, possibly with the clutch not disengaging. When you accelerate from start the starter motor drives the cart forward, then as it gets faster it seems to surge into normal operation.
I have seen a similar post back in 2012 but I’m unsure what the resolution was. I would appreciate any advice? |

On the back.of the shift lever theres a little yellow knob. Pull it out, rotate it 180° and put it back in. This will put it into service mode so you can run the cart in neutral.
Then pull the seat off and take a video, rev the engine a few times so we can see exactly what the clutches are doing. It's a lot easier to watch a video and tell you than ask/answer a hundred questions |
