Used spray paint for plastic/vinyl. Top used to be white. Holding up very well so far.

"Any tips on painting raw plastic roof" This is a current thread on this subject that's already in the forum. My dad's was painted by a friend of ours. I'll post its pics there tomorrow and there's a lot of info there. FYI tony ton

Just finished my project (see thread above yours). Lots of advice here but this is what I did

Clean with Dawn dish washing detergent
Scuff with red pads till dull
spray with Bulldog adhesion promotor
prime with Aqua-prime-- primer/sealer
wetsand with light (600-800 grit) sand paper till smooth
clean again, use a prep/degreaser
shoot the paint
shoot the clear

again, this is what I did and I love how my wifes cart came out (and she is thrilled as well) Good luck

I posted under the paint and body thread about painting the roof, but I thought I would bring my own thread to closure, painted the roof with Fusion paint this weekend. Cleaned it up really good with degreaser then laid down 4 cans of Satin Black Fusion. I really like the way it looks. I left the bottom white, looks good.
