Re: battery change precedent
We did some of those conversions at the shop. I don't know any prices, but it is more or less a complete swap of the equipment that comes installed on the car. New batteries obviously, battery tub, wire harness, OBC, battery hold downs, controller etc etc. I am sure that C.C. does not give those kits away. It is a fair amount of work to change a car over, but it is not a bad project.

Re: battery change precedent
Yea I see your point scubabud. I can't remember exaclty what C.C.'s reasoning for changing everything out was. There was a reason for not just changing the batteries and tub. I am drawing a blank at the moment. Personally if I owned a Precedent I wouldn't mess with it. I really don't think that the vast majority of cars that are owned by individuals will really see a big difference between 4 - 12 volts or 6 - 8 volts. At the very least I wouldn't worry about it until it was time for a battery change.

I agree, mine's been fine so far but it's only been 1 year on my new batteries/cart. More lead = more run time and CC felt after a few complaints that it was time to go back to basics with their carts. If the cost factor was minimal then I'd consider it but if it's way up there then I see no reason for it. |

Re: battery change precedent
I am sure the kit is not cheap for someone to buy. As far as C.C. goes they are changing over thousands of carts. That is costing them HUGE!
