Installing Horn Issues!
I installed original Club Car front and rear lights last week which was a breeze due to the fact that it was basically plug in and bam! the harness that leads to the headlight (under passenger wheel well) has 2 12 gauge wires coming off of them. The wires are orange and black and are supposed to be for the horn. To test the horn I purchased today, I made a direct contact to those two wires with wires from horn (+ and -) and did not work. I then inverted the wires for the heck of it and did not work. Did this with the lights on as well. Any thought while I go purchase a test light?

Does the key have to be on, are the wires fused?

Re: Installing Horn Issues!
Is your horn a 36v horn? You won't get anything out of it if you just used 12v.

Yeah, the guy at the dealer told me it was for 48 volt! Good point, I will check online to confirm that. Thx

Re: Installing Horn Issues!
Just checked the horn with car battery and it scerd the heck out of me. So yeah its definitly working well considering a car battery is 12 volts. Dont understand why, if I am connecting the horn to the Club Car 2 wires coming out of the harness. Shouldnt it work if I am connecting directly? I need to get that test light.

Re: Installing Horn Issues!
Just remember that the the button completes the circuit. When its off the circuit is open. Its just like locking a deadbolt on a door, when the bolt is locked and when it is open.Hope this helps.
