Club Car DS fuel issues
Alright guys, I have a 2001 DS all stock that ran great until last summer until about August I want to say, when my brother as little brothers do, didn't think to fill my tank before using my cart. He ran it out of gas and I am assuming sucked something up. It sat all winter as I was away for school and not home to repair it. I can get in it, drive it perfectly normal for about 2-5 minutes and then bam, sputters so bad I have to push it from there out. It feels like its running out of fuel but it has a full tank.
I am just literally in my garage swapping fuel filters and getting ready to clean the carb. My question is, is there anything else I should look at doing? I am ditching the year old fuel, doing filters, and cleaning the carb. Is there anything else that could cause this limited running time? Thanks a lot, I promise I used the search feature but couldn't find anything really related to running well at first and then stopping. Thanks!!! |

Re: Club Car DS fuel issues
when it starts acting up did you check to see if fuel filters had fuel in them, if not possibly your fuel pump is bad. if you have fuel, clean carb and a new plug if the carb cleaning dosent work. make sure carb adjustments are right. If this does not fix it, I would think to check electrical circuts. Hope this may help good luck......

Hey thanks a lot man. I'll take her around the block and see what it does. As it sits there is fuel in the filters, however I drove it from one side of the garage to the other, I will check that now! Thanks.

Definitely fuel in the filters, I am not sure how much is supposed to be there but they are like a quarter way full.

Ran it out of fuel sucked the crud off the bottom.
Knock the carb down and clean every orifice as if you are a porn star. Take the pin and float out and clean the inlet as well. |
