if your talking compression i have not put a gauge on it yet i know it will blow my finger off of the hole, witch i know this is not accurate by no means, what is the comp.psi reading on theses ? most 2 strokes i have worked on or re-ringed would uselley fire up cold and when got warm they would not run and lose all comp. but this is not like the 2 strokes i have worked on, on this the engine gos forward and backward,so does that cause a different comp.ratio or would it be the same going frontwards and backwards? but i am trying anything now, this is my first gasser

I am not familiar with 2stroke EZGOs but I am with Yamaha G1 2 strokes. There is no F/R shift. The forward and reverse movement is controlled by the key switch. Clockwise turn of the switch is forward and counter is reverse.

Above 90 is good. Any less is probably a ring problem..

In case you are not aware the 2 cycle engine will run quite happily in reverse, indeed this is what happens when you select reverse, you simply reverse the polarity of the starter motor and she fires up. In your case if every thing works fine in reverse then the engine is in pretty good shape and the compression must be broadly OK. If it will not start in forward (and I assume that you mean the engine will not fire as opposed to the engine fires and runs but the cart won't move) then you probably have a timing issue. In order to be able to fire the spark with some degree of advancement in forward and reverse there are two magnets inside the flywheel (aka harmonic balancer). If one has fallen out then it is possible that the timing would be so far out in forward it would not start (but you will see a spark). Just for fun confirm that the engine does not start in forward and we are not talking of a transmission issue.
Peace and love
