torque spring

I have been looking into finding a cheap ways to improve my gas club car. I found out that you can add a torque spring (power spring) priced around 50 bucks and discription says it adds 200rpm. I thought 50 was high for 200rpm and kept looking untill I found a few torque spring for 19 bucks.These springs are not designed for a golf cart but their discriptions say 1000rpm, 1500rpm, 2000rpm and 2500rpm. They are also the same size as the one for the golf cart.
I've done some testing on my cart and acording to the tach the rpm limiter cuts out at 2000rpm. I was reving up the engine and I got around 3000rpm and then a funny noise started so I put my red line at 3000. What would be the best torque spring to put on it? What would be the difference between the 1000rpm and the 2500rpm spring be?

I just found the source of the noise at 3000rpm... I forgot to put the hose clamp that holds the muffler to the support bracket. It says it can rev up to 5000 rpm but thats a whole lot of rpms!

Torque spring only increases the rpm at which the clutch starts to engage. It does not increase the RPM's of the engine.

Actully a torque spring does not change the engagement at all. It raises the shift point (meaning the engine rpm will be higher before it can start to force the driven clutch apart changing the drive ratio.) For instance with a stock spring the cart starts moving at 1200 rpm and at 1500 rpm the driven clutch starts to spread apart.

With a power spring cart starts moving at 1200 rpm and at 2000 rpm the driven clutch starts to spread apart.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply, I forgot the password to login lol anyways so to increase the torque I would add a higher RPM spring like 2000 or 2500rpm spring? I want to be able to climb hills with easly but I dont want to hurt the engine or break any parts. Thanks for the help!
