Default 6" lift created jerky takeoff

I put a 6" jakes spindle lift and 22" tires on my 1990 gas club car. All is great except when I accelerate their is a vibration that comes from rear end. It feels like the tires shake for just a brief moment. It does not do this when I accelerate in reverse. Any help in identifying this problem will be greatly appreciated

How is your drive-belt condition? If you have a worn belt and now added larger tires, you will notice driveability problems, since you have effectively changed your gear-ratio by increasing tire-diameter and tire weight. The wear will also cause erratic shifting due to the larger tires. If all seemed good before the lift/tire install, then this is where I would start. If you have a buddy with the same cart, try swapping belts as a start.Hope this helps.

See if it shows wear and/or damage on the sides, and check the tension. If it is really stretched out you will be able to touch the upper and lower runs of the belt together.

Belt looks good, the top & bottom are 2" apart when I pull them together. Belt is old but doesn't show any signs of being wore. Any other ideas?

Pochanga90, You had it right, I put some silicone lube on the belt and it stopped my problem. Do u think I should go ahead and put a new one on it?

If silicone fixed it,the belt is dried out.Replace it.

Check your throttle cable, if it's been pulled tight from the lift it may need some adjustment. Just put a lift on my '87 and lost the "slow" end of the throttle. Hard to maneuver it tight spots because it wanted to just go, found the throttle cable was not in it's original position, adjusted it into place, all good.
