Default powerwise 2 charger relay

Hello all, I have read extensively through the powerwise forums looking for "just" the relay for the powerwise charger. I have 2 chargers, one in the garage and one in the back of the shed, that way were ever I park for the night I don't have to carry the charger from place to place. The relay went on one charger so I ordered a complete board from one of the sponsers here. I thought if I could find the relay I would solder it onto the old board. I used a jumper to check it before I ordered the new board. I found some online, but the shipping to Canada was cost a bit steep.Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve actually never seen the relays sold individually. I’ve always just replaced the whole board since they are cheap on eBay.

If you can find a relay that has the right coil voltage I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

The original relay has 4 pins that go down through the board where they are soldered. I see some that don't have pins but bolt/screw down on each end, I think I will need the one with the 4 pins. Thanks for the reply.

Just because bypassing the relay contacts got the charger to turn on, doesn't mean the relay is bad.

I'd make sure the relay was bad before I ordered one.

I followed instructions with a DVM from an online video, all other checks appeared to be fine. AC/Dc currents were good. Any suggestions what else I can chek? Thanks Johnnie B

With 36V battery pack voltage applied to board via the red (positive) and black (negative) wires, does the relay coil terminals have battery pack voltage applied to them?

If so the relay is bad, if not the board is bad.

Well the fun contiues! I replaced the board in my powerwise 2 charger, and it still doesn't want to come on. My batteries are fully charged via my spare charger. I jumped the relay on the new board and the transformer hums. According to my Scottyb dash volt meter when I jump the relay it is putting a charge into the battery pack. I am obviously missing something.I had the dc plug and receptacle apart and all are clean. The reed switch has already been bypassed. Also the ammetre on the charger doesn't move much or at all during the quick jumped relay/cart charging check. So now I am reading all about capacitors! If nothing else I am learning and having a bit of fun! Thanks for all the reply's.
