Default g1 lost power

went for a ride yesterday and ran out of fuel then after i refueled with 100-1 mix started and then ran fine for a about 1/8 mile then quite restarted and lost power will struggle to climb a hill that had no trouble climbing before any thoughts on what to look for ?? thanks

Doesn't sound good. If it were me I would pull the carb and check it, clean it, etc to eliminate that. Also, it could be the fuel, since that's the only thing that was different.

Check the spark plug, if it's oily, replace it. Too much oil or the wrong type can oil foul the plug and make it run crappy.

100:1 is ok, that's still a little bit too much oil according to the service manual. Manual says the oil injector mixes at 150:1 to 300:1 depending upon engine load. I ran 125:1. Oil choice is also critical. Some generic 2 stroke oils don't cut it. I really liked Echo brand from the big orange home improvement store. Just make sure you use a high quality air cooled 2 cycle oil.

Fuel? Try to find ethanol free in your area. If not get fuel at a well known super busy station and treat it with STabil 360 with ethanol shield. If the gas is older it can run crappy, could have water in it.

up date after i took a better look at the linkage i found the linkage rod had come off the exhaust hooked it back up and back to normal, thanks for the reply
