No final answer as far as i know (that happens around here sometimes). But dont connect ANYTHING to the ignition switch on a rxv. The only place to connect a aftermarket energy meter is to the battery pack directly, or the large terminals of the main solenoid (never the small terminals of the solenoid).

Yes this was corrected.
Cart was brought to our shop.
After much searching (some cursing involved )
Determined problem was wire harness.
Sorry to say this was an expensive repair.

Thanks HTR & CGT for the follow up. I just bought a 2014 "demo" RXV. Because of travel plans I won't get it until the end of month. I'm sure to have questions later.

Thanks again
Mike

was it the fuse in the charge receptacle? if that pops it won't run and you can not see the fuse as it is in the plastic. You can however bypass it and put a fuse on the outside.

Actually, if you submerge the RXV charge port in brake cleaner for about a week, the rubbery plastic stuff will disolve. Inside you will find a 30a fuse. Not sure how one would bypass the fuse with the "rubber stuff" still in place. I have never tried to repair a charge port in this way, i just wanted to see whats inside (i knew it wasnt just a "reed switch" anymore, and i just had to find out).

Hello, I have a EZGO RXV in my shop now that came in not running. The battery cable were extremely corroded and in the process of replacing the cables and cleaning the terminals there some wires in a gray covering coming from the charge receptacle with a large black box on the B+ battery connection. The end was so bad that it broke off and looking at the above pictures it appears to go to the circuit board in the receptacle.Any suggestion on how to fix this? Jason

The grey "wire" has 2 small wires inside. Its a temp sensor. It can be had seperate of the whole charge port at "fullriverbattery.com", give em a call. Before you do this, check for proper operation of the blue wire from the charge port (should be 48v when charger not plugged in, nothing when charger plugged in). If the blue wire doesnt work you will need a whole new charge port anyway.

Thanks for the reply and the info. If the OEM charger is bad and I was to upgrade the customer to an different charger would the wires need to be repaired? Thanks Jason

Not the temp sensor, but the "blue wire" thing has to work, or else the cart thinks the charger is always connected (wont drive when it thinks the charger is connected).
