DS Sepex or Series
I just bought a 2001 Club car is has the selector switch and not lever serial number is A0052-965840 It has tow/run switch. just trying to figure out what it is. Sepex or series. I dont think it is IQ but don't know. Regen or regenII I guess. Thanks in advance. Trying to make a plan for it to go faster of course.

Re: DS Sepex or Series
It's definitely a sepex, and being a 2001, it's got to be a Regen 2. IQ didn't come out till 2002.

Mine is an A9950- although yours should not have the Energy Module, the OBC from the later IQ's will work also,...

Re: DS Sepex or Series
Thanks, I'm rally new to the carts. What is the OBC? Can I do magnets on this motor? Right now it olny goes 12mph tops just trying to get it a little quicker. I am going to do a cable upgrade to the 2 gauge first and then work from there. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Re: DS Sepex or Series
That's my motor, I think it came in some 2000's also , but magnet won't get more speed, I did cables and went to a 20 inch tire on back and it does a couple of MPH's better 14 or so on GPS,... and a new set of T-875's

Re: DS Sepex or Series
So does it require a new motor or new controller to get around 20mph? I was told the magnet kit and unhooking brake plug gets you about 4-6 mph. I need to figure out this thing, not as simple as the series I guess.

Re: DS Sepex or Series
On those pre-IQ Sepex carts You just need to unplug the speed sensor (no need for a speed magnet), that is the 3-pin plug on the end of the motor.
You may get a couple of mph depending on what type of terrain you are driving, but You will loose the Regen brake. |

Re: DS Sepex or Series
A motor/controller upgrade would be the best bet to get decent speed out of your Regen2 (Powerdrive Plus) system. There are lots of different combinations available.
