DS Sepex or Series

I am just not sure exactly what I have. From the serial number it should say "AC" or "AQ" for Regen carts. Mine is just "A" I am going to look at all components tonight and see exactly what I have I guess.

It's a Regen 2. Two-Letter prefixes didn't start until 2001. All electric cars pre 2001 had just the "A". The rocker switch and tow/run switch indicate that it's a Regen 2. In 2001 and up, AA is a series drive, AB is 36 Volt, AC is Regen 2, AQ is IQ, and AG is gas.

Yeah this is a A00 and was sold to me as a 2001. Thats why I am confused. You are probably right I'm sure. Was just hoping it wasn't a Regen 2 I guess :)

So I guess I can send my motor off to PQ for either the blaster or beast and get a pretty good increase with the stock controller. I am not looking to set any speed records just get close to 20mph if possible. What do you guys think?

Also I am planning on doing the 2 gauge cable upgrade and since I am in the marine industry, could I use marine grade tinned 2 ga wire instead of the welding wire? As I have rolls sitting in my shop?

The marine grade tinned 2 ga cable is actually a better choice for the harsh battery compartment environment.

Make sure the OD of the cable goes through the OBC hole (put the cable lug afterwards) or You will need to make a "stud" and use 2 separate cables to complete the connection through the OBC.

The F1 and F2 cables don't need to be upgraded as the maximum current is less than 30 amps.
