Without rereading every post, if I recall, your cart used to run with this adapter?

Missing wires 3,5,6,7 I think it is in fact just a case of shipping grabbed the wrong adapter.

Nope, the cart ran briefly on the Curtis controller as it sporadically powered up.

This one powers up great just needs to link to the circuits that's all.

Alltrax is going to send a new adapter, apparently there was several variations on wiring a 1268 controller, I just have an odd configuration.

They were great, and the dealer was great, cant say enough. Missing a wire is not a big issue, but they handled it with the best of service, that means a lot to me in a company.

So when I get this adapter I believe it will work, my motor RPM matrix is not set, what is a good safe RPM setting that would've close to factory?

Too many RPMs setting?

The max recommended RPM for most golf cart motors is typically in the 6000 to 6500 RPM range.

Since your cart has a 48V motor being power by a 48V battery pack, it is unlikely that your motor will reach that RPM range, much less exceed it, but I might be wrong.

According to the service manual, a MPT-1000 has a top speed of about 13 MPH and lists the stock tire height at 18" as well as 14.7:1 gears in the differential, so the motor is spinning at 3569 RPM, or 274.5 RPM per MPH.

Setting the limit at 3600 RPM should give you a top speed slightly over 13 MPH.

In a nutshell, decide the max speed you want the cart to go, multiply that speed by 274.5 and then round up to the next 100RPM.

Ok, got the new adapter in and drove away! Even lost an f1 connection and was able to instantly diagnose and find the issue.

I gained maybe a mile an hour but hey!

Thanks again JohnnieB for all the help, it is much appreciated!

Great to hear you got it working.

A TXT-48 has a similar, but not identical, drive system to the one in your MPT-1000 and dropping a XCT controller in it ups the top speed into the 24 MPH neighborhood.

The 14.7:1 gears in the MPT-1000 would drop the top speed down to about 20 MPH, so my guess is the motor is a high torque type, which typically turns slower with same voltage applied. Also, you might not have the best field map installed for your motor.

Get the Make and Model number(s) of your motor and give Alltrax a call. They might have a field map specifically for your motor.
