Default Re: 1/2 speed throttle question

Hey guys, i see both of your comments about powering pin 4 for for half speed. i have a DCX and want to do half speed foward for the kids. Will this not work for DCX? seems that is the only sense that tells the cart to go in reverse, and that you can program that reverse for 1/2 speed or not. Cant get half foward..
If there is a way to do it for DCX let me know... Thanks, Bobby

Can't do it with DCS, PDS or DCX controllers.

In a nutshell, sepex controllers switch cart direction internally and direction switching is done external to the controllers in series drive carts, so the controller has to be told to do 1/2 speed and can be told to do so at any time.

If you upgrade to an XCT controller, you'll have the option of setting up different user modes that can be changed with switch.

I'm in sorta the same boat.

I have an early production XCT-PDS that doesn't have a jack for the FNKS control to plug into, so I'm stuck with only one user mode.

If I want to change the performance, I have to connect a laptop.
