So, I take it the red wire goes to large post on sol along with the +ve
from the bat pack. Also, the red wire(16 awg???) smaller than the wht and blk ones in the charging receptacle goes to the wht/red to the cowl harness.
Is this correct??

Ok one thing at a time. The white wire goes to the main pack + positive the black wire goes to the main - negative. The smaller red/white wire goes to the J1 4 on the controller. If you don't know completely what your doing I would say stop. You can blow the controller up and cost you a lot of money.

Question Re: 2006 txd pds wiring problem

OK, here are the wires I am talking about:
The first pic with the bungee cord has the red&wht
wire that is coming from the cowl harness.
The second pic is the red wire from the cowl harness.
the yel/blu/red all break out of the harness at the same
place, the yel is +ve and goes to small term on sol, the
blu is neg and goes to the other small term on the sol.
the onlhy place the red wire will reach is the sol.

The red/wht wire is long, so long that it appears it
was once connected to charger receptacle. Not sure
though.

Now I see you don't have a stock controller, you kind of left that information out. Is that a DCX controller?

That is a wiring diagram for a DCX in a DCS cart and a PDS to DCX adapter is visible in the cart pictures posted.

Attached is a schematic for a DCX in a PDS using the adapter. However, the cart's wiring harness ought to be pure stock PDS, also attached.

The short red wire with the ring terminal is second picture connects the the battery side large terminal on the solenoid. It feeds J1 Pin-5 and the reverse beeper.

The long red wire is first picture goes to reed switch (or to any constantly on B+ source is bypassing the reed switch is desired) and feeds J1 Pin-4
