48 volt power pack

This summer I met a golf cart wholesaler and he told me that I could use a 48 volt golf cart to jump start another cart when the charger will not turn on because the batteries were dead. So far it has worked on several carts as long as you put the cart in tow and pay attention to pos and neg. My question is , where can I get a 48volt power jump pack?
I see 24volt units out there and can I series two to get 48 volt.
Lots of carts in my community with dead batteries.

Yeah basically you need to use another cart, a 12v charger if the cart uses 12 volts. Or a fancy jump out charger that puts out way more so you can get the standard charger enough volts to work with. If they are 8v you can use a 12v charger on them for a short time and move on until voltage is high enough

As far as where you can get a 48v jump pack I have no idea lol or if one even is out there.

There are quite a few like this available around 10Ah, 12Ah etc. When you start to get to 20Ah and beyond they jump pretty rapidly in price.

If I understand correctly all you want is to raise the pack voltage enough until the cart's original charger will work.

The cheapest way is to purchase an old PowerDrive type charger (power supply actually), by-pass the relay and wire alligator clips to the end of the DC power cord.

That way You can clip the leads to any cart manufactures battery pack.

Keep in mind if you do that to a Club Car with a working OBC, You will need to disconnect the battery pack for at least 10 minutes after the first charge in order to reset the OBC.
