Converting an RXV with a Danaher controller over to an easier to get Curtis controller.

The Curtis controller is a fine controller but it won't give you any more Speed or Touque.. Not to mention OTF or Bluetooth functions.

Dunno about that. There are a few guys on here that are getting 28 to 35 MPH with their stock Curtis 1206AC-5201 235 Amp controllers. The Curtis 1206AC-5350 350 Amp upgrade controller can reach 45 MPH+ with 23+" road tires. This is without exceeding the 9500 RPM limit set in the VCL.

I'm looking forward to the Navitas controllers coming along with more widespread usage. I'm looking forward to the upgrade RXV motor that would allow us to put more power to the road longer with less heat. And I'm looking forward to the day when we can go beyond an OTF and be able to customize advanced controller parameters with a simple serial or USB interfacee, as can be done with Alltrax controllers. My biggest gripe with Curtis had been the lack of open architecture programming available to end users that wish to customize advanced controller settings for their needs. Not looking forward to another closed architecture controller. I'm waiting patiently, not wanting to rush anyone.

The Navitas TAC1.0 is customizable via Bluetooth... No cables are required.

I went from 21 MPH to 29 MPH in speed, with just the controller swap alone (Danaher to Navitas). You also get a gain on the torque if you turn up the "accel" on the OTF programmer.
